Widemouth Bay is a large sandy beach situated in North Cornwall on the Atlantic coast. It is popular for swimming, surfing, relaxing, sunbathing, rock pooling & fishing.
The beach has life guard cover from Easter to the end of September making it safe for swimming. The south half of the beach is dog friendly while the north part has a dog ban in the summer months.
The area around Widemouth Bay offers great surfing for all abilities from point breaks to reef breaks with sand bottom breaks also available ideal for learners. Surf boards and wetsuits can be hired within Widemouth Bay at Black Rock and surfing lessons are also available locally.
The village of Widemouth Bay has three Inns these being The Widemouth Manor, The Bay View and The Brocksmoor. Good food is available at the Bay View & The Brocksmoor Hotel. There are a couple of cafes, surf shop, fish and chip shop and a small shop with a fresh fish counter.
Bude is less than 5 miles away with pubs, banks, supermarkets, swimming pool, night club, cafes and beaches.
